SX 2009

Well this weekend was an opportuinity I'm so glad I did not pass up! Pretty much the week of Supercorss, Andy's buddy called him and old him that he wasn't going to make it. Well Andy called me and wanted to know if I wanted to go. It was such short notice I didn't know if I'd be able to get things worked out.
I was scheduled to work Saturday afternoon and I was really nrevous I wasn't going to be able to ahve someone take my shift for me. Well I decided to go into work on Monday during my lunch break from school and ask around to see if anyone would work for me. A girl gladly covered my shift and I went on my way to figure out the next obstacle... A plane ticket.
I had been looking and checking prices the day before and nothing was cheap because of sort notice. I called my friend Kent that went to BYU last semester and is now back home in Gilbert to see if we can hang out if I got an early flight. He told me he couldn't because he was flying back to Provo to pack up his car and drive it back. I asked if there would be room for me to go home with him. He said there would be but I'd have to leave Thursaday morning because it was supposed to snow on Friday. That was perfect!
We got to town right at 7 on Thurday and Kent dropped me off at Chase Field. Parts Unlimited was sponsoring a showcase and a dinner for the dealers. At the dinner, Andy won a Chad Reed Jersey and he was going to get it signed on Saturday! We also got to watch the track being bulit it was so cool! The picture wasn't all that great but it was a cool thing to experience!

Saturday morning I got to spend some time with Lincoln and play before I left for the big day!

Christmas Break!

Well this Christmas break couldn't have been anymore perfect than it already was! I got to celebrate Hayden's birthday, Christmas, meeting my new nephew Brody and my niece Camilla, Being able to go to Camillas blessing, and best of all spending a lot of quality time with my whole family. It was seriously perfect!

First week on the floor!

Well I was definately not looking forward to this week at school. I have been stressing out so much because I was scared to deathe to cut hair. Wel didn't have a ton of practice on cutting so I felt really incompatant with my ablilities. My first day on the floor, I had a men's hair cut. I was scared for my life but it went really good and turned out really well. I was s glad I had a client that first day because I didn't want to have to stress or worry for the next day or so til I got one.

The next day I had a wonen's hair cut. Oh my was I nervous. I was never really taught how to cut short hair so I was going to crap my pants if I had to do a short cut. Well she finally came and I went to get her. She wanted an A-line cut and I was so nervous. I asked my instrucrtor to help me out a bit. She came over and was so helpful. She started me off on one side of the base and I did the opposite, I had her check before I got started to make sure I would have a good guide to go off of. It was good so I continued. I had her check one other time before I got to the front of the hair. She was such a big help for me, I am a complete rookie at cutting layers so again she showed me on one side and I had her stay and watch me for the second side. I'm glad she stayed because I was just a big help! The cut was finally finished and it turned out so good! She really liked it and she tipped me 10 bucks!

Then Wednedsday and Thursday we got to play around a little bit with color. We colored mine and Anna's hair on Wednesday and Thursday we did Nicholes. It was fun to practice on eachother with mixing and applying color. I really enjoyed that!

Finally Friday rolled around and we didn't have anyone elses hair to do so we had to take clients. I had a women's hair cut at 10 and I was once again freaking out. I was getting myself all worked up for nothing. The client I had just came in a few days ago for a perm. She just wanted it thinned out a little bit. I had Deb (an instructor) come over and show me what to do. I went and washed her hair and came back and went to work. That was a really fun experience! I enjoyed doing that!

The last thing on the adgenda for the week was our test. Needless to say I got a 100% on it and I was relieved to be done with the first week of school. It was a great learning experience and I had fun even though it was nerve racking. I think it was juts because I'm so ready to come home for a bit!

Snowing!

Well he snow days are here now. It was a long ime coming so I hear but I'm really glad it took so long! It is such a change for me to be surrounded in snow. It really isn't as bad as I thought it would be. The city of Provo does a pretty good job keeping the main roads plowd and salted so its ok. I thing I'm handling the driving part too, my lil Pontiac G6 is for sure a trooper! It gets me through anything so far, I'm so glad I made the change in vehicles. Well here are a few pictures of me and Anna in the snow, I'm pretty sure this was the first snow day!

Break

Well everyday at school we have a theory class and today for some reason we got out a little early from it and we didn't have to be back to school for an hour or so. We decided to take a lil road trip to Anna's house, which is just up the street a few blocks from school, and play. We decided to long board a little bit and just have fun! It was definatly a good time!

Yes it's December and yes I'm wearing shorts! I'm an idiot I know!

Christmas Devotional

So Sunday my roomate Melissa and her boyfriend Kevin wanted to go to salt lake to see the Christmas Devotional. Kevin's roomate Corbin wanted to go too but didn't wanna be the third wheel. Melissa suggested that I go with Corbin. I agreed and we all went together. We didn't have tickets so we waited in the standby line to hopefully get in. We got up to the top and we were 10 people from getting in and they turned us around and took us to the overflow. It was sad we didn't get to go in but it was still amazin and we had a good time! The lights are so pretty right now too! It's so beautiful, my pictures don't do any justice at all! Sorry!

Slumber Party!!

So this past weekend, me and Laci and Anna came up with the brilliant idea that we needed to have a slumber party at Anna's house! We decided that it would be so much fun to hang out together and just have a good time! well it got a little interesting! We also thought it would be a good idea to wax my legs! Nice right... Well i would agree with that now but I'm not gonna lie it was a lil paiful! Fun time and a fun sleep over though!
